Happy 1 Month Esther!

Happy 1 month Esther Genevieve Jackson!  Esther has grown so much and loves spending time with  anyone that wants to hold her.  She loves the outdoors and anything with lights.  She loves eating, sleeping, and taking baths!  She even loves practicing her swimming in the tub.  She loves when someone pats her back or tummy.  She loves when Daddy bounces on the exercise ball with her and she loves when Mommy feeds her and reads stories.

Let's go swimming!

Showered with Love

We had a fabulous baby shower this past weekend.  So many wonderful friends came.  We felt love from all of our family who could not be there.  It was more than we could have asked for.  The power did go out in the entire neighborhood at 8:30 am.  The shower started at 10:00 am so I know the ladies doing the shower were a bit stressed.  Food needed to be cooked and the A/C couldn't be turned on, but luckily it rained the night before so the temperature was fairly mild.

Susan Barry, my visiting teaching companion, helped plan the shower and did a wonderful crepe bar.  My visiting teacher, Celeste Boyce, hosted the shower and has been helping us find all kinds of free baby things.  We have lots of boy gear if we have a boy.  Sasha made a fun jeopardy game that helped everyone learn more about a baby's amazing development.  Susan did a mother's blessing ceremony using purple yarn.  We passed the yarn around the room and everyone would say something they wished for me as I become a mother.  They were all invited to wear the yarn on their ankle or wrist until I have my baby.  All of their wishes were so sweet and I saw several sisters on Sunday wearing their yarn still.  It made me feel so loved.  I have a bracelet as well that I am wearing.
Celeste (and Bryce) and Susan. Sasha was the photographer.

Today at our doctor's appointment we needed to have another ultrasound to check the amniotic fluid levels and the baby's movement.  Everything is fine, but the ultrasound technician said that based on the measurements he made our baby isn't due until the 12th or 14th.  I don't know how long my friends will wear their yarn if I tell them it will most likely be quite a bit longer.  For those curious, the estimated weight was 5 lbs 10 oz to 6 lbs 3 oz right now.  I have heard they can be up to a pound off on their estimations though.
Beautiful and delicious.

Super fun game that Sasha made!  Did you know the largest baby to survive weighed 22 lbs at birth?

Debi Richan, Robin Stokes, and Vickie Francis.  The lovely ladies I served with in Relief Society.

Beautiful corsage sent from Patty!

Pat Kehrer traveled so far.  She has helped us start our children's library collection.

Our Baby Has the Cutest Lips

We had such an amazing experience last week.  We were able to do a 3D/4D ultrasound thanks to Katie writing a blog for Fetal Fotos!  It wasn't in our plans at all so we are so grateful.  We have 69 photos on CD and a 30 minute DVD of the entire session!  Thanks so much Katie!!
Is that a smile?
Hands were always next to the face

Sweet dreams.

Doris is clearly a better Ice Skater than me :)

This was our second time to ice skate together.  The first time was in Louisiana and then this was in Provo. There was not as much camoflague here in Utah so we wore a camo Saint's had to keep our southerness showing. We got a discount because we have this thing called a "Starving student Card" which hooks us up with a lot of discounts this free skate being one of them.  We had a blast !!

Doris did not know I was videoing :)

This was June 16 which was a little over a year after we got engaged.  This was the first fish Doris caught with her new fishing license so not a bad start to the year.   Hopefully in the future we can catch some fish with some size so we can feed the baby some good ole fish :)

Busting bottle's and having fun :)
